THE BOOK

What is Share of Answer?
The book's full passage, from Peter Jones: Share of Answer Is the Only PR Metric That Pays:
Share of Answer is the share of the answers to your market's questions that name you. It is the metric I built for exactly this, because I needed to know whether the work was producing retrieval, and reach could not tell me. A placement that lifts Share of Answer paid for itself. A placement that did not was exposure, and exposure is a cost, not an asset, until it converts into retrieval.
